چکیده
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract with immunohistochemical reactivity for CD117 antibody. Gastrointestinal stromal tumor with synchronous gastric cancer is rare. A 69-year-old male presented with one-week history of epigastrium pain and vomit was admitted to our hospital. Subtotal gastrectomy and D2 lymph node dissection were performed, and reconstruction was provided with Billroth I procedure. Pathological examination of the specimens revealed gastrointestinal stromal tumor and poor-differentiated gastric cancer, respectively.

Calcifying fibrous tumor (CFT) is a rare mesenchymal tumor, affecting children and young adults with a predilection for the soft tissue and the abdominal cavity. CFT of the tubular gastrointestinal tract is very rare with less than 20 cases of gastric CFTs reported in English literature. This benign hypocellular fibrosclerotic calcifying lesion can resemble other spindle cell tumors particularl...
متن کاملSynchronous Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor and Axillary Deep Fibromatosis: A Rare Association
Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST) is the most common mesenchymal tumor of the gastrointestinal tract and most commonly affects the stomach, while fibromatosis is a rare locally aggressive fibrous tissue neoplasm. There have been reports of GIST and fibromatosis occurring in same individual and in most of them fibromatosis occurs within the abdomen. In 75% of patients fibromatosis occurs aft...
متن کاملSynchronous gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) and other primary neoplasms of gastrointestinal tract: report of two cases
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are the most common mesenchymal neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract with a malignant potential. However, uncommonly they can be associated with synchronous tumors of different histogenesis. We herein report two cases of gastric GIST with synchronous tumors. The first case is of a 50-year-old male patient who was suspected with GIST of stomach and was i...

Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is a rare form of mesenchymal tumor of the gastrointestinal tract, accounting for 1% of malignant neoplasms [1]. Most gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors are GISTs, originating from interstitial cells of Cajal or precursors of these cells. Although several reports regarding GIST have incrementally advanced our understanding of this condition in recent years...

The sclerosing Sertoli cell tumor described herein is associated with prominent stromal sclerosis. They present as painless...
